The marriage of Miss Jane Dean Farmer, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John William Farmer of Huddle Avenue, Linwood, and Edward Winfield Brittingham , son of Mrs Grace D. Brittingham of Lewes, Del., was solemnized by the Rev. Nelson Waite Wrightmeyer in St. Peters Protestant Episcopal Church at Lewes on Saturday afternoon, May 7, at 2 o'clock. The double ring ceremony was used. A nuptial communion was celebrated at 8 o'clock in the morning for the immediate family. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore an afternoon dress of aqua with navy blue and a corsage of white rose buds and lilies of the valley. Miss Lillie Johnson of Essington was the brides only attendant . She wore an afternoon dress of Alice blue and a corsage of pink rose buds. Emory Brittingham of Rehoboth, Del., was best man for his brother and the ushers were H. Edward Maull and Virden R. Bryan both of Lewes. Mrs Farmer, mother of the bride, wore a navy blue ensemble with a corsage of gardenias and Mrs. Brittiingham, mother of the bridegroom , wore a black gown and a corsage of gardenias. Mrs Harry V. Logan of Lewes presided at the console. A reception for some one hundred guest was held following at the Sequoia Tea Room.
