Lewes, Delaware, appears to be a starting point for about seventy men to renew the effort for Cuba's liberation. An interview with a leading Cuban denies any intention on the part of the leaders in the movement to in any way involve the United States, as he believes the people of this country are their sympathizers, and hence, there will be no expedition leave our shores. This may be intended to lull the suspicions aroused and delay whatever steps this government would have taked in the matter, and it may not. Be that as it may, the United States must maintain its honor in upholding the law. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ DE-Old-News ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ NewspaperAbstracts.com - Finding our ancestors in the news!
