RUSSELL, who shot JAMES HARNEY last night during a party riot, was arrested this morning and taken up to the general hospital, and identified by HARNEY as the one who shot him. When RUSSELL was being returned to the central station, an excited mob tried to get hold of them, advancing amid cries of “lynch him,” while they surrounded the cab. The police however, succeeded in beating back the rioters.
