One of those of whom much is expected is Leo DIEGEL, of Washington. Ask any of the top-nochers what they think of Leo, and they are likely to tell you that he ranks among the most dangerous of those just outside the championship, pale. DIEGEL has been playing at Palm Beach this winter, and he set a record of playing seven consecutive rounds under 70 - 65, 69, 67, 67, 69, 69 and 68, to be exact. It is admited[sp.], of course, that the strain of playing in a championship is a good deal heavier than in these four-ball affairs in which Leo did so brilliantly, but the play proved that he has the shots. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ DC-Old-News ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ NewspaperAbstracts.com - Finding our ancestors in the news!
