The members of the faculty, with FREDERICK DOUGLASS and Rev. Dr. WAYLAND, of Philadelphia, occupied one side of the platform and the graduates the other. A large choir, composed of students, was also in attendance and furnished the music. Brief addresses were made by HARRISON C. BARNETT, JAMES E. ASHBURN, WILLIAM H. CRAWFORD, BANKS L. WRIGHT, AGNES E. W. ROLLINS, JAMES W. HOLMES, SARAH H. HOWELL, HENRY H. WARRING, and LEWIS C. SHEOFER. At their conclusion, Rev. Dr. WAYLAND addressed the graduates and awarded the certificates. Mr. DOUGLASS was then called on an made a brief speech, and the exercises closed with an address by President KING of the Seminary.
