Man Killed by Dynamite: Piedmont, W Va., Feb 19. JOSEPH W. OTT, aged 57 years, a widower, of this place was killed at Bloomington, Garrett County, Md., 2 miles west of here, by the explosion of 100 pounds of dynamite, which was being thawed for blasting purposes. The shanty was blown to pieces. Five or six men were in the building, but all escaped except Ott. He is survived by four sons and two daughters. Mrs. Porterfield Dead at Charles Town: Charlestown, W. V., Feb 19. Mrs. SUSAN PORTERFIELD, widow of GEORGE PORTERFIELD, a former postmaster of Charles Town, died at her residence in this city tonight, aged 50. She was a Miss SIMMONS of Frederick, Md.
