E. Church last night was the scene of a brilliant gathering, assembled to witness the nuptials of Capt. Edward E. Holman, of Holly Springs, Miss., and Miss Marian A. Bowen, sister of Mr. J. E. M. Bowen, examiner of trade marks in the Patent Office. Miss Bowen, a very beautiful blonde, was attired in an elegant princesse dress en traine, of white satin, and wore the traditional orange blossoms in her flaxen tresses. The groom, who is a singularly handsome gentleman, dark hair and eyes, was attired in the customary bridal suit. As they entered the church, Mastor Willie Cohen played in fine style Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March.” Rev. Dr. Lanahan performed the wedding ceremony. Many distinguished persons in Washington society, friends of the happy couple, were present. After a reception at the house of the bride’s mother, Mr. and Mrs. Holman took the 9 o’clock train for an extended trip northward.
