E. Stenerson Almost Killed Article Text: The Little Son of Mr. C. E. Stenerson Almost Killed ERNEST F. STENERSON, the 5 year old son of Mr. C. E. STENERSON, living at 1221 G Street was run over and severely injured by an express wagon about 6 o’clock last evening. He had boarded a stone wagon which was proceeding up 10th Street, and on getting off again at the corner of G Street, jumped right in front of the express wagon, which was going in the opposite direction. He was knocked down by the horses, and the wheels passed over his body at the short ribs. Mr. P. P. PECK, who was passing, witnessed the sad accident, and picking the child up carried him to his father’s house. Drs. FRY and STANTON were called in and pronounced the case a very serious one. Dr. FRY, who continued his services, had but slight hopes of the little fellow’s recovery at a late hour last night. The expressman was thought to be to blame by onlookers, but had not been arrested last night. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ DC-Old-News ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ NewspaperAbstracts.com - Finding our ancestors in the news!
