Dickie from his wife Mary E. Dickie. The husband is a wealthy many who in 1858 married Mary E. Robinson, whose family also had property. Mr. Dickie charged that in 1858 his wife became criminally intimate with a D. Brinkerhoff, his business partner, and that these illicit relations were continued until 1872 when the secret was discovered and Mr. Dickie separated from his wife. The divorce was granted upon the implications contained in the wife's own letters.
