Special to The Washington Post. Rockville, Md., April 4. - William V. JOUVENAL, of Silver Spring, this county, arrested recently on a charge of embezzling $3,000, from the Silver Spring National Bank, where he was employed as bookkeeper, was before Judge PETER in circuit court here on a writ of habeas corpus. The amount of his bail, fixed at $7,000 by the justice of the peace before whom he was taken upon being brought to Rockville, was reduced by Judge PETER to $5,000. The defendant's father, William J. JOUVENAL, and his grandmother, Mrs. Washington BONIFANT, qualified as sureties.
