SAMUEL DAVIES and MAE lived at 21 Baxter Street- Standish-Wigan England until his death within the last 15 years. WILLIAM and ANNE ROBY DAVIES were active members of the Standish Methodist Church on High Street.Could anyone tell me if there is a cemetery there that might have their tombstones. Their children were also members of the Church. Is anyone familiar with this Church? I think WILLIAM ELLIS DAVIES also immigrated to USA and was killed in a Mine accident in Sullivan Co.,Ind. In a Will of ROSANNA LOWE dated Dec.1983 she left her estate to members of the DAVIES families. Some of the surnames listed were: HOCKING-BIRKET-TYRER-ROSCOE-PARROTT-GRAY-FARRIMOND-TAYLOR-FAIRHURST WOODS-WILKINSON-DRAPER-LOWTON-EDMONDSON-BROWN-RICH-LINDQUIST-ATTACK CHADWICK-BROWN-DOBSON-JEWELL-BROMILOW-FISHER-ASHCROFT-EASTHAM-MYERS PRICE. I know some of the cousins went to Australia and one of Lambert's daughters lived in Singapore. She married a teacher and he taught English there.SAM AND MAE DAVIES had grandchildren living on Baxter Street,Standish,Wigan,England. Are there any cousins left in England that have done research on this family. I would love to find some descendants of WILLIAM and ANNE ROBY DAVIES to find out where the family originated.I have always been told Wales, but DAVIES is a common name and not knowing where in Wales makes a search pretty difficult. Do any of these names sound familiar to anyone. Will gladly share any info.Thanks-Joyce
