Hi Dick, As you say, there are so many William Davies's your search is going to be very difficult. I see that your William was born at Llanelli, there are two Llanelli's in Wales, one in Carmarthenshire and one in Monmouthshire. I think it most likely that the correct one is Monmouthshire. Have you tried the Gwent FHS which covers this area? They have a web site http://welcome.to/gwent.fhs Why not give them a try? Good searching Marjorie
