Hi! I am looking for information on my great-grandfather, James Davies. I know this is like looking for a needle in a haystack but here goes: James Davies was born Dec. 28, 1859 in Wales and died Nov. 26, 1914 in Scranton, PA. He married Dinah Webb at Bethel Baptist Chapel in Blaina, Wales in 1881. They immigrated to the US in approx. 1888. James was the son of John Davies and Margaret James. To my knowledge, he was a coal miner all his life. I know a great deal about their lives and children once they arrived in the US but before that I know nothing.
