I went to the 1881 census of Wales ,once I had your notes and found the Maurice and Mary Davies family .Maurice is 36 and a Labourer.at the lead mines. They have four children Mary Ellen ,age 8 ,John Loyd age 6 ,William ,age 4 and Margaret Jane ,age 1 all born in lLandegla. Did the family live in Quebec or just come through the port there?
