I am descended from John Davies who was killed in the Rev. War, by being shot through the head with his own firearm, Waxhaws vicinity, SC/NC border area. He married Jane Jannett Barclay, day of Major John Barclay( bur. old Waxhaws Presb Church). John's father is supposed to be a David Davies.They had 3 daughters ad a son, John Baird Davies, who became a Presbyterian minister, served at Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church for 40-some years, and was the first President of Davidson College, where he is buried.
