He was the seventh son of William and Jane, both living in Dowlais He was an artist and piano player (busker). When his mother died in 1931 he sold the house and left my mother and her grandmother and went up to London to busk in the pubs. I think he probably was up there earlier than 1931 as he had a sister, Margaret, who died in the London blitz in 1939, I believe. A friend of his, Michael Mc Donald, also from Wales used to carry the cap to collect the money. Edward had jet black hair, darkish complection and large hands, a handsome man. I have a few photos of him. He never contacted my mother, that I know of. An aunt, who has since died, told me in confidence (not to tell my mother) that Edward had died on the London Embankment. He probably liked his drink, so his death may have been drink related. Does any of this seem to fit. I would dearly love to know what happened to him. best wishes Barrie Jones, Tredegar, Gwent
