Let me clarify by stating the following. The Davis family that I know about were related to the Davies family as well.It seems that due to language barriers that davis or Davies made little difference as long as they were not close blood relation.Spelling did not matter either as this is America, and you can drop the I or spell your name however you want to.I under stand how it changed in my family, and I cannot speak for yours. We most likely are related however, my grandfather was born1831 and came here from Merthyr Tydvil,South Wales, and fathered 21 children.I never knew him.Our culture, language and customs are not passed on to our young , and the poorer we are for not doing so.If you think that you have a link with my end of this lost Ohio family ,let me know.I have more,Samuel

Surnames: Davies, Parsons Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HNR.2ACEB/1248 Message Board Post: I am researching my Grandfather, Absalom Parsons' family. He was born in Harbour Grace Newfoundland in 1868/9 and settled in Liverpool England about 1885. He was a son of John, a joiner. I have been given information that he may have had a sister Ethel Davies (nee Parsons), believed also to have been born Newfoundland but lived in Lynn, Massachusetts in the 1940’s and Style Street was mentioned as an address. She may have had a son Walter or John. I understand some of her family came over to Liverpool, England with the US armed forces during the war Any information to help with my research would be most welcome. Many thanks.
