He lived in 16 Chapel Street Aberdare where my belated grandmother was born. Do you have any additional information regarding the Davies as I am having difficulty tracing one or two members of the family. If so, I look forward to your reply. Sue

Samaria arriving into the port of Boston on August 4, 1923. The family first went to Vermillion, Indiana to stay with an uncle, Thomas Lewis. Their son William was born in Indiana. The family later moved to Culpepper, Virginia. Charlotte was my great-great aunt. My grandmother's guardian, her uncle David "Harry" Husband emigrated with Charlotte and her family and then my grandmother joined them a couple of weeks later. I'm hoping to find out more information about the family, any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I am tracing family history but haven't got too far yet. My grandfather was George Davies who married Mary Thomas of Carmarthen in early 1900's. As a child I remember hearing that his family were from Devon and connected to the sea. I even heard his father was a sea captain (weren't they all?) I have applied for my grandparents marriage certificate (hope I have the right one) and will be in touch again if there is any more to tell.

Liverpool. She married Arthur Leonard Cookson c1910 possibly in Disley, Cheshire. I believe her mother's maiden name was Mary Lavinia Davies and she was possibly born c1862 in Liverpool. It appears she was married twice. Initially to a Brookes and then a Jones. I am looking for information prior to her birth and details of her parents etc. Any information will be appreciated. Many thanks, Alan Cookson.
