    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Davies Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/HNR.2ACEB/1323 Message Board Post: I'm searching for an old friend. James Franklin Davies. Born in November of 1974. I met him in Middleburg, Florida through some friends when I was about 14 - 15 years old. He has a brother named Charles (we called him C.G.) and would be about 31 years old today. I believe his brother (C.G.) would be around 33 years old. Sadly, I can't remember his parents' names. I do know his father died of a heart attack. Last I'd heard, James was married and living in either Kentucky, Florida, or New Jersey. If any of this sounds like someone you know, I'd be forever grateful for some help in finding my old friend. Thank you.

Il try looking at the library for those archived newspapers. It's funny. I have actually visited with Richard Lewis. I de a trip up there to Fossil a couple years ago and he was kind enough to drive us around his property and show us different sites. Unfortunately he didn't have any information regarding this particular wreck. I'll keep searching! Amber

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/HNR.2ACEB/265.1.1 Message Board Post: Fred Cook didn't keep any journals that I know of. However, the public library in Kemmerer Wyoming has all of the back copies of local news on microfilm. You can contact them. I have gone there to look up articles in the past. I think they will search for you. Fossil & Sage Wyoming are close to Kemmerer and you will probably find articles on the incident. Also, there is one relative of Fred Cook still living in the area who has an interest in keeping old records. He might have some additional information for you. His name is Richard Lewis and he lives in Sage, Wyoming. Richard Lewis 44291 Us Highway 30 Kemmerer, WY 83101 (307) 877-4896 Good luck Susan

I have researched a train accident that happened in Fossil in 1897 wherein a young man named William Young was killed. Fred Cook was one of the witnesses to the accident. He gave a witness statement for the coroner's report, stating he had attempted to crawl into the caboose and save William. Do you know if Fred Cook kept any kind of journal where he might have written more information about this? Any ideas at all? If you could contact me I would appreciate it.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/HNR.2ACEB/1314 Message Board Post: Does anyone have Edward Robert Davies married to Hannah Blent in their tree? DOB circa 1898, DOD 18/12/1945. He is my mother in laws father but I have hit a brick wall as she cannot remember his parents or siblings names. His father possibly remarried when Edward was young. As far as I know Hannah's younger sister Sally married one of his brothers. I cannot find him on the 1901 census or in the BDM. She thinks he was born in Shrewsbury area but again she can't remember. When my mother in law gave me his details she called him Robert, he may have used that instead of Edward, it was only when I checked his grave in Shrewsbury that I got his full name. Any help would be much apreciated. Sue

Surnames: Davies Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HNR.2ACEB/1313 Message Board Post: Is there anyone out there who can knock my brickwall down Please? I have my Grand dad, Evan Davies living in Lewisham, when he married a Winifred Maisey in 1916. His age is then 30 years a batchelor, his father is John Davies deceased. From what very little information on Evan, it was told that his father died in The Boer War. The family were from the Tonypandy area, Treorchy area? but have no proof. I think Evan died around 1946-1948 in St Albans. His son's names were William Frank, Edward John, Eric George, daughters Irene Gladys, Kathleen Beatrice, maybe some were family names on the Davies side, as no trace on the maternal side. Any help, advice or ideas would be very much appreciated Many thanks Sue
