Does anyone please recognise these two Davies females ? Or, see a connection between the Davies visitors and the Harries'.

Rosabella was my gt grandmother and she was born in 1849 in St Pancras. It is her parents, my gt gt grandparents that I am trying to find details on. I am looking for a marriage around 1842-47 in the Wrexham area between Edward and Elizabeth Dodd. Their first child was born in St Pancras in 1848. Although possible, I think it unlikely that they would have returned to Wrexham to marry. I have searched the BMD records but cannot find a marriage. It probably wasn't registered. The record probably exists in the local records office though. But thanks again for the information. Regards David

My great aunt Florence , " Flo " married Robert Hendry and they had one son named Gordon who married a scottish girl named Chris . After Gordon died ( not sure when ) , Chris moved back to Scotland and a cousin of mine still communicates w/ her . Florence was born abt 1899 in Aspull Lancashire England and was the youngest child . I've never heard my great uncle Arthur " Art " referred to by the name Horace but he was born abt 1890 also in Aspull . ( don't know if he ever married but I could likely find out from a cousin ) Not sure we have the same family ... My great grandmother Elizabeth was never mentioned to me as having emigrated to Toronto ..only her husband Joseph Davies was ever mentioned to me by my mother ..so I have the feeling she and the other siblings stayed in England ..not sure , however , there were 8 children in this family so it doesn't make sense that none were mentioned in the obits you've found . My great uncle Sam who w! as the 2nd oldest , lived on Lappin Ave. when he signed up for WW1 and his father Joseph lived on Millicent St. Toronto ...If you see any similarities let me know ... Janet

I am replying to your post to let you know what I have, and because of the name Florence and the mother's name Elizabeth. Also because Horace's initial is "A" and it could stand for Arthur. grandmother --- Florence Elizabeth Davies died Sept. 1962 in Pickering, Ontario. No siblings listed in obituary. I believe she was born in the mid - early 1890's. My father was born in 1915 so I figure her age at time of marriage 16 - 20?? great uncle --- Horace A. Davies brother of Florence (Mrs. Robert Frost) died Jan. 15, 1951 in Toronto. He was married to Ellen Clarke. His obituary lists no other siblings. I just located the obituary for Horace from the Toronto Star, I also found his children's names and deaths. I took a subscription out with the Star for a month and it gave me a little help. I have been trying to search out the 1911 census for the Davies but have not been successful as it still needs to be transcribed. I know that Florence & Horace's mother owned one of the big homes on Jarvis Street, so I believe they must have lived in the downtown area of Toronto. Have you found any information since you posted your query? Gladys
