So glad to see an interest in John Davidson who married Susanah Jackson. I have some info. regarding them as they can be found in not only Washington Co., Ky records but also in Fayette and Jessamine county Ky records. Study your map of Kentucky and see how the counties broke down. Jessamine came from Fayette, one of the original 3 counties. John might have been the son of Richard Davidson who died and whose widow Mary, came with her 2-3 sons to Fayette county. Later they moved again, still staying in Ky. Wish I could tell you more however, my computer is down and in the shop and I am answering my mail from the public library, so was not prepared to pull files regarding this John who married Susannah Jackson. In about another week, I will have my computer home and can really dig into this. In the meantime, there is a George Davidson in Jessamine county who was living next to and buying land with Jacob Hunter, Sr. His wife was Mrs. Mary Hunter Holloway, widow of Nathan Holloway. The division of his land with all children listed is on file at the Jessamine County Ky. courthouse. Date about 1815. Also this same George is listed earlier in Lincoln county where a land survery ran through his garden. Can't seem to find anything regarding the parents of George Davidson or Daniel Davidson who were closely connected and had children who entermarried in Sullivan Co., Indiana. John Davidson also witnessed a land transaction of George Davidson. Then John left Washington county and I can't remember where he went to, but think it could have been Madison or even Logan county? The part that is interesting to me is my maiden name was Davidson and Susannah Jackson was the name of my gr.gr.gr. grandmother from Washington county, Ky. Her husband John Jackson, was my gr.gr.gr.grandfather. John's parents were William Jackson and Ann Thomas, daughter of Thomas Thomas. He is a Revolutionary War soldier from Virginia and I have him in the D.A.R. records. Now I am wondering if Susannah remarried after husband John Jackson died. Could this Susannah Jackson be a widow? Too much coincidence here not to have an element of truth! O.K. Genies lets figure all of this out. When I get my computer back from the shop I will send copies of what I have that is documented.
