Kathy, per John Lisle's excellent Davidson website, this George Davidson in Lincoln Co., KY was the son of Samuel Davidson and Margaret Unknown. Samuel Davidson was the apparent brother of both "Importation" John Davidson and George Davidson (father of Rev. War hero, General William Lee Davidson). The father of these three brothers has not been proven, but John Lisle believes that he was probably an earlier George Davidson (versus a William Davidson, as some other researchers have stated in the past). As I read the website, the above George Davidson in KY (Lt. George Davidson, Sr.) was married to Mary Woods, and they had several children, including Nancy (who married James Robertson), Susannah (who married John King) and Martha ("Mattie") who married Hugh Leeper. Polly, James, Michael, Samuel, William and John mentioned on the will were also the children of this George Davidson and Mary Woods.
