Hope you will forgive my intrusion into messages. Wondering if your Michigan Davidsons were formerly from Pennsylvania. My gg grandfather (Wm. W. Davidson) died in Dec. 1923 in Highland Park, Wayne Co. MI while visiting relatives. We do not know names of relatives. We suspect that some of our Davidson ancestors left PA in the early 1800's and may have settled in MI but have no information. The commonly repeated names in our Davidsons are: William, John, Joseph (many with a middle name of Hampton). If there should be a connection we have several generations to share.
