John Davidson was my ggggrandfather was born 1815, either in KY or TN, depending on the census, his wife was Letty Ann, b. 1825. John had: Hiram Lee, b. 1840, stayed in Marion Co, and married Martha Elizabeth Burnette Lucinda Catherine, b. 1843 married Hiram Brazil Woods & moved to TX after the Civil War David b. 1845, moved to Dent Co, MO, after the war & married Amanda Wofford, who died and he 2nd married her sister Thomas b. 1846, in Marion Co, married a Clarissa, had daughter Jane, and then moved to Logan Co, Arkansas, after 1870,he remarried I don't know what happened to Clarissa or Jane, they no longer show up on any census after 1870 Martha b. 1850, married John Milton Cantrell and moved to TX Mary b. 1853, moved to TX and married a B. H. Coats from there. Sarah Kizzar b. 1854, married James Holloway & moved to TX The names David, Robert, James, Lee, Thomas & John are used in all descending generations. Census Marion Co. In 1830, Samuel & William Davidson in Marion Co, TN, Samuel shows up later in Jackson, Bridgeport, Alabama. 1840, Only my John Davidson 1850, 3 Davidsons, Ransom,who later moved to Franklin Co, TN, with his family, William, who says he is from NC, and my John Davidson are the only older Davidsons in Marion Co I happened to find some information on Thomas Davidson, I have had in my possession for 10 years & have just overlooked it, or was looking for something else, and just passed over it, but Thomas Davidson's sister Martha's granddaughter had written his name & address in a small journal of hers, which I had a copy of. I was entering new information in my family tree, happened to reread this little journal, and boom, there was one of my brick walls. Thomas Davidson, dated 1892, post office, Ellsworth, Logan Co, Arkansas. I had it all the time, so people go thru that old paperwork, your brick wall could just be hiding there like mine was. Does this family fit with anyone out there. Jean
