Sharon, I was recently sent some data that pertains to the identity of the James Davidson who married Nancy Isbell. I am looking for data on that family to see if it fits with this theory. And hopeful a male Davidson descendant for DNA testing. I can not share my evidence right now as I am not home but there is good circumstantial evidence that he may have been a son of Benjamin Davidson of Buncombe/Transylvania county. Part of the evidence is some data that indicated that James, s/o Ben, lived in (I believe) Wilkes county after his marriage and that James and Nancy were also said to have lived there. I have not tried to reconcile this with census, etc., as I have little data on the James and Nancy family. If anyone does have it, could you please share it with me either on the list or a report could be sent privately. thanks, john.
