James, George Newton Davidson was a first cousin to my John H. Davidson and the William F. Davidson who seems to have had a son named George Newton Davidson. George's mother Caroline Hall married David Vance Davidson and was a sister of my Eliza Hall who married Abner Davidson. Abner and David were also related but their common ancestor was "Import John" Davidson of Ireland, Augusta Co., VA, and Iredell co. area of NC and died in 1748/9.
