Good morning, I just mailed my DNA (59 markers) in on Saturday morning. I am anxiously awaiting my report. My 2nd cousin lives in Houston and he went to the office in Houston and got a kit so we both could be tested. We have a common Davidson great grand father. Our Davidson has been traced to the early part of the 19th century in Georgia. This common ancestor gave the census enumerator information which said both of his parents were born in Georgia. If this could be taken as true, this means our Davidson family was in Georgia as early as the late part of the 18th century. Getting any documentation connecting my great grandfather to his parents has been a dead end for over 40 years and has eluded several professional genealogists who are experts in Georgia research. I am hoping this DNA might just crack the lineage door a bit so we can enlist some directions. Alvie L.
