Davidson Cox, the wife of Frank S. Cox. She was born 22 Dec 1869 near Arcola, IL. She and her parents moved to Pawnee County, KS in 1876. She grew to young womanhood on a farm northeast of Larned. After attending grade school in Pawnee county, she went to Emporia Teacher's College, then taught school for several years. In 1908 the Moore G. and Malinda J. Davidson Cox family moved to Nickerson, KS where she lived until her marriage to Frank S. Cox on 6 Jan 1913. After their marriage, they went to Hindsboro, IL where she resided until the death of her husband in 1920. In 1933 she returned to Kansas to make her home and lived here until her death. Mary J. Davidson Cox died 28 Aug 1958 at the age of 88. She was buried in the Larned Cemetery. Mary J. Davidson Cox leaves to mourn her sister Susan, Mrs. Charles Fletcher, and many friends. The record says here brothers and sisters were the following: Roy-James, Edgar, Oliver, Wirt, Dora, and Susan. (Perhaps the others were already deceased?) I believe that this memorial record would be a great resource for a family member or family researcher of this Davidson/Cox line. Please contact me if you have an interest in this memorial record.
