I have located my ancestors (William R. / Mary M. Davidson / their children) in the Chambers County, Alabama census for 1860 and 1880. In 1860 and 1880, their census place was Bluffton (Chambers County). Bluffton is no longer a town. I cannot find them in any online census for Chambers County in 1870. Do any of you know if the 1870 Alabama census was partially destroyed? William R. Davidson's parents and siblings lived in Georgia. They all lived very near the Alabama and Georgia line. In fact, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Davidson were members of the Presbyterian Church in West Point Georgia. I have, also, searched the 1870 Georgia census -- with no luck. Thanks, Anna Gayle DAVIDSON McClure
Check out homepages.rootsweb.com/~genea/davidson.html and then go to Alabama. You will find them in the 1870 census. [email protected] wrote: I have located my ancestors (William R. / Mary M.
