John, One final comment from me on the Davidsons in Rutherford and Gibson Co., TN. One researcher believes that the older woman in Josiah Davidson's home in 1840 in Rutherford was his mother-in-law Sarah Finch. It appears that it was this same Josiah Davidson (and his wife Mary.....assumed to be Mary Finch by the stated researcher) who was in Fulton Co., KY on the 1850 census, and the mother-in-law Sarah Finch was still in Rutherford Co., TN at age 78 in 1850 (living with her son Adam). If this should be correct, then the older woman in Richard Davidson's home in 1830 was probably someone else (and since sthat woman was not still in Richard's home in 1840, maybe the Mary Davidson in Gibson Co., TN in 1850 was yet a THIRD older woman). Note: There is a "family tree" on the Internet that shows a Jonah (not Josiah) Davidson married Mary Finch, and it shows Jonah as being part of "Family 5" versus my Davidson family ("Family 10"). As such, the "jury is still out" on all of this, I believe. In conclusion, I don't know if Mary Davidson in Gibson Co., TN in 1850 was part of your "Family 1," versus related to Richard Davidson of "Family 5" after all, versus being from yet a fourth Davidson family not even mentioned above. I really doubt, however, that this Mary Davidson was part of my family. I do believe that the Josiah Davidson "Junior" in Rutherford Co., TN in 1840 was the son of the Josiah Davidson "Senior" in Hickman Co., TN in 1840. I don't know, however, if Josiah "Junior" was married to Mary Finch, and I have no proof that it was Josiah "Junior" who was in Fulton Co., KY in 1850 (but that would not surprise me). Bill Davidson
