Jane, If you go to: http://www.tqsi.com/davidsongenes/results.php and look at member kit number 63327 (currently shown under "Family 10"), you can see the DNA results of the person who descends from the Josiah Davidson who joined the militia in Orange Co., NC in 1780 at the age of 14. It strongly appears that Josiah Davidson was the brother of the David Davidson who married Elizabeth King in 1800, as well as the brother of the Rebecca Davidson who married Samuel King, also in 1800. A court document from the 1840s confirms that the children of William and Elizaebeth Davidson of Orange/Guilford Co., NC included Josiah, David and Rebecca (and other children), and a later census in TN documents that Josiah Davidson was born in VA about 1766. If you click on the member number "63327" on the above website, you will be taken to another screen where you can see the "direct line" of the DNA donor. You will note that this line shows an Andrew Davidson at the top, but I now feel certain that this is incorrect (it should show William Davidson....and several researchers are now in full agreement with that). I will forward you two files/charts on this family, one of which was done by the sister of the DNA donor. I will send these directly to your e-mail address in just a minute. Bill Davidson
