Sarah Davidson of Dickson County wrote her will in April 1868 wherein she lists her heirs as J.C. Davidson, Delila Thomas, H.A. Davidson, J.M. Davidson, and Abraham Davidson. I believe J.C. is Jesse Davidson of Pope County, IL and the oldest child of Thomas and Sarah Davidson; Delila Davidson Thomas, wife of John W. Thomas, of Dickson County, TN; H.A. is Howell Davidson of Dickson County, TN; J.M. is James Davidson of Dickson County, TN; Abraham Davidson is yet undetermined. I think the order of this listing is significant as to the birth order of Sarah's children. Sarah's estate was not opened until 1867 and since the 'heirs of Jesse Davidson formerly of Pope County, Illinois' are listed in the reading it seems most probable that Jesse Davidson died sometime before this reading.
