Thomas), Howell A., James, and Abram (March 6, 1830 last settlement to Sarah Davidson, Dickson County, TN). I have seen several trees listing the sons, but none with details related to Delila Davidson Thomas. It is somewhat curious as she is somewhat easy to locate on record. In 1840 John Thomas is living but a few households away from Howell Davidson. Delila is then found on 1850 and 1860 Dickson County census along with her children (Howell Calvin, Eliza, James D., Minor B., and Christopher). While hoping to obtain further information on Delila, I am primarily interested in the Thomas line as this is that of my father. I have a good deal of information on Delila and her children that I am willing to share if anyone is interested in including the female descendant of this line. My father's line is as follows: The Rev. Howell Calvin Thomas, 1838, married 1st Thursa Garton, 2nd Margaret Bryant; Howell and and Thursa were parents of John Washington Thomas married Elizabeth Zilphia White; John and Elizabeth were the parents of McClain Thomas; McClain Thomas married Nelle Weems who were parents to my father, Thomas McClain Thomas. I have Davidson family that lived in Dickson and Montgomery County, Tennessee.? My 4th great grandfather was John Davidson who had several children.? He had at least one son Benjamin Davidson that was born ca 1788 probably in North Carolina.? Benjamin married twice.? First to a daughter if John Lyle and second to a Clark.? The children were:? William, Willie L., Bejamin, John, and some daughters.? I descend from his son Willie L and his wife Sarah Rye through their son William Riley.? William Riley Davidson was he father of my grandfather Ervin Louis Davidson.? One of my first counsins has participated in the DNA test and matches with one the groups.
