That John Davidson fathered three sons, and one was named Joseph. It looks like two of these three sons married women in the Chilton/Shelton family of Pittsylvania/Halifax Co., VA. I don't know if Joseph married one of those women or not, but one of my fellow researchers might know. This family is part of DNA Family 4, and one researcher is rather condident that the Josiah Davidson who was on the 1820 and 1830 Dickson Co., TN censuses was part of Family 4.
