Elizabeth was born about 1740, likely in Antrim, Ireland. She died 2 Nov 1781 in Charleston during the Revolution. Her other two children, Andrew's brothers, were also killed in the Revolution. Her parents have been said to have been a Cyrus Hutchinson who was born in Antrim about 1690 and died in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, NC. His wife is said to have been a Margaret Lisle. She is said to have been a descendant of Judge John Lisle who was one of the judges who sentenced King Charles I of England to be executed. I am not aware, at this time, how Andrew Jackson might be a cousin of the Vances. If you know how that goes, I would be interested.
