This is the same overall Davidson/Davison family that married into the Broadway family on at least three occasions, as I recall. William and Sarah (Bowman) Davidson had a son named John Davidson. The first wife of John is apparently unknown, but some researchers believed that he was the same John Davidson who married Nancy Hines and who lived in Pope Co., IL. John and Nancy (Hines) Davidson had sons who were named Oliver Perry Davidson and Riley Davidson. We have descendants out of Oliver Perry Davidson in the DNA test, and they do NOT match "Family 5" (they match "Family 9" instead, as I recall). As such, it appears that the researchers who thought that the John Davidson who married Nancy Hines was the son of William Davidson and Sarah Bowman of Prince Edward Co.! , VA were incorrect. I believe that you have exchanged information with Ruth Kent, and some of her "Family 4" Davidsons were in Dickson Co., TN. As such, my "pure guess" would be that your Thomas Davidson was probably a member of "Family 4"......but you may need a living male Davidson from your family to join the DNA test to ever prove it, one way or the other.
