The old George seems like he could also be the George Davidson appearing in 1820 Dickson where we also find Joseph, Josiah, and Abraham. For what it is worth, witnesses to this George's will were James and Matthew Gilmore. Matthew Gilmore appears as age 60-70 in 1830. James was born closer to 1805. Online trees list them as father and son. Are you aware of a connection of Davidsons to a Bouterot (?spelling) in VA?
