I have been bumping into a name resembling Bouterant/Boutorot/Boterot and wondered if you were aware of any name like this associated with early Davidsons. Sorry for any confusion. I can not say where this Matthew Gilmore was from. I think that he was reported as hailing from North Carolina but I did nothing but hunt for him on the Dickson census.
