I am most interested in corresponding with anyone having data regarding the Davison/Davidson family of Cumberland Co., PA and later, Franklin Co., PA. My ancestor, John Davison, removed from Cumberland County in 1765 and settled in what later became York Co., SC. I have traced him back to the Antrim Township of Cumberland County, that later became part of Franklin Co., PA. Beyond that, I have no record. There was a John Davison who was brother to an Elias and Hugh Davison who both married McDowell sisters. My John named sons Hugh and Elias and I have long thought they these two men were his brothers. These men were sons of John Davison and Margaret Henry. I am interested in any information pertaining to my John Davison in Cumberland County. Additionally, I would like to either prove or disprove that he was identical to the son of the same name belonging to the family of John Davison and Margaret Henry.
