They are: father Joseph A (Allen?) Smith May 17, 1765 (at sea) to 1841 (Franklin Johnson County INDIANA) mother: Elizabeth Black Smith (her father was named James mom UNK) born about 1770 in Wythe County VIRGINIA. Wed Joseph A. Dec 1793 in Prince Edward Co VA (perhaps in Farmville). They had 9 children, 7 boys 2 girls born 1795 to 1811 in Prince Edward Co abd Grayson County Virginia. Two of the children, including 1st born James, born 1795, died before age 20; while the parents and 7 children moved from Virginia to Indiana in about 1828. These Smith are listed on the 1800, 1810 Prince Edward County VA Census (USA Census #2 & #3) and the 1830 census in Indiana. I am looking for info you may have on one of the sons or daughters marrying a Davi(d)son and moving to another area of country.
