You can then compare your matches with other Davidsons and non Davidsons. This might be of some intrest to some researchers. I have been noticed that several families seem to have distant matches with the Cummings/Comyn,MacPhersons and MacKay's, among other names that were part of the original Clan Chatten which was an ancient confederation of clans in Scotland. I think there are only 77 Davidsons that have uploaded there results to Y-Search and there are 144 in the DNA project.
