I said that William Davidson and his first wife were from PA (per a couple of other researchers....and their data seems to be accurate). I have no information on where the McCrea family was before they began to appear in VA. A female descendant and researcher of this Davidson family told me via e-mail that the name of William Davidson's second wife was the widow Elizabeth Wilson McCrea. This researcher posted here: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.davidson/4622.2/mb.ashx and I suspect that if you contacted her, she could provide you with her source for the "Wilson" part of that name.
