    3. It seems that I am the only one looking for the connection between Colonel Wm Lee Davidson and James I of Russell/Washington/Scott County VA? I have been searching records for over 40 years. At times I think there might have been more than one William Davidson. How could one man do all the things that I have found? He was at the Battle of Kings Mountain, Founded Buncombe County, NC after serving as the Representative from Rutherfordton, Justice of the Peace for Buncombe, NC and Morgan County, TN. I looked at records in the Dallas Public Library and could not read all the land transactions due to the number in the first quarter of 1800 Land Records for Tennessee. I believe he owned multiple tracts of land in NC, TN, KY and possibly VA. There are Davidson settlements all over the South Eastern USA due to this man. He was suppose to be the First Senator of NC from Buncombe County. However, I cannot find any records pertaining to his Family. Is there anyone who knows about OLD FORT east of Ashville? It was suppose to have been the first fort West of the Blue Ridge. > From: tunnelm@verizon.net > To: davidson@rootsweb.com > Date: Thu, 28 Jan 2010 07:42:30 -0500 > Subject: Re: [DAVIDSON] William Davidson > > The James Davidson/Davison "I" in Scott/Russell Co., VA/Big Moccasin Creek > is DNA "Family 13." > > Bill Davidson > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to DAVIDSON-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail: Trusted email with powerful SPAM protection. http://clk.atdmt.com/GBL/go/196390707/direct/01/
