Joan I have not checked the Horn Papers but will try in the near future. It is probable that James did take an oath since he and his wife and at least sons Robert and William were born in Ulster. William had a family of three son, William born in Md. Robert born in Pa, about 1795 and James. James1 William2 died in the 1830s with his son Robert in Ill. James 1 William2 William 3 Raised a family in Brooke Co. W. Va. and later moved to Deersville Harrison Co. Ohio. James 1 Robert 2 lived near Hopedale Harrison Co, Ohio. James 1 James 2 lived near Coitsville Mahoning Co, Ohio James 1 William 2 James 3 possibly lived near Smithfield Jefferson Co, Ohio. Ted Davidson
