Ted, In the PA Land Office warrants book I found a James Davidson with 400 acres in 1784. There was also a William, Samuel, and George with land at that time. Were they all brothers? There was also a James that took the Oath of Allegiance in 1794 in Cross Creek Twp. Where was his land located? Have you seen the "Horne Papers" map of Cross Creek? I read about a Davidson's Mill on the Youghiogheny River during Braddock's Campaign. There was a William and Samuel in Independance Twp. in 1790's to 1806. Do you know how they are all related?
