I have a unique Tree: I am a Davidson from Scott Co VA born in Oak Ridge TN to the granddaughter of the Rev John H. Davidson whose paternal grandmother was also a Davidson from Camp- bell Co VA. I think that I am 75% Davidson and 99% Scot!HA My problem is that my grandfathers home burned leaving no family record and my aunts burned all of the family letters except for the one I have to John H. from Wm R in 1903! It lists their ancestors as William, Samuel, & Wm Bunkum. BUT who is this Wm Bunkum(Buncombe) and was he from NC? Does anybody know about him and Anna Nickle daughter of William Nickle & Rachel Haslet? Anderson Co TN prior to 1850. They were all neighbors in 1830 census!
