Bill - I did obtain a copy of the marriage license. However, being a novice at this, I did not think to also request a copy of an application for same. I will go through the process again and see if they have such a document. Thanks for the suggestion. In the meantime, if anyone comes across any information on John T. Davidson and his wife, Peter Ann Ivy, please let me know. Going through the paper trail from the Netherlands to the good ol' USA and back to the Netherlands is about a four-month process.
