    3. If you suspect a virus is attached to a message: When the messages come into your mailbox, before you click to open the message: Right click on the message, click "Properties", click the "Details" tab. Read the dialog box that appears and make sure that it does not have any reference to the W32.Badtrans. virus. If it states anything related to W32.Badtrans: hand write the correct email address and compose a courteous message informing the person that the virus has been detected on their message and ask them to virus check their system. Simply deleting the underscore will not prevent the virus from spreading. The underscore is a part of the "worm" that is the virus. If you open the message, you will open the virus, and, you will infect your system and continue the virus with your next message(s) sent out. It is important to COMPLETELY DELETE the message, every part of it, not just the underscore. Most important do not open the message, delete the _ and send out other messages. If your anti-virus is up to date and working properly, and you cannot open the message, the A/V is working correctly and you will not be able to open/read the message because your anti-virus program is working. Please let the sender know in a courteous message to them and ask them to resend the question/information. One more thing. Whether you have Norton or McAffee, make sure that the program is set to scan "incoming mail". I've learned a lot about this virus, and others, in the past couple months. The whole key is to having the incoming mail scanned and deleting the message when the program detects a virus and nicely informing the sender of the problem that was detected by the A/V program. If any of you have any questions and/or comments please write directly to me, ldkd95@skyenet.net and I will try to help you. I sent the original message as a "heads up", not to get into a contest with anyone. Let's get back to finding our families links... and, yes, I will respond to anyone who has questions or comments about getting back to finding family. Kay ldkd95@skyenet.net
