This is a long shot, but we are looking for the parents of Joseph A. Davidson. Do you know if John Wallace Davidson had any siblings? We do not know anything about Joseph's parents. We know he went to live with his relative George as a child. Perhaps John Wallace Davidson had siblings who were sent to various relatives to be raised. According to court records Joseph went to live with George when he was "almost a child". We know Joseph was born in VA ( probably Tazwell Co.) in 1802. We believe they had a sister Jane, who was born in 1799, who also was raised by George. In 1806 George married Elizabeth Cartmill in Tazwell Co. The next year they moved to Kanawha Co. Va (now WV). The next known residence is Lawrence Co. KY around 1820. Jane married Lewis Russell in Lawrence Co. KY. Joseph married Nancy Shannon Burgess in Lawrence Co. KY.
