Yes, this is a moving story, and an example of why I am so fascinated by my fellow Davidson's part in shaping America. I am also interested in discovering similar conflicts within the War of Independence, Davidson's who were loyalist, English settlers, second generation American Davidson's who fought for Independence, conflicts within families etc. Admittedly, this happened with all British/British descendent families, but I would be most interested in hearing specific examples of my own name.
